Kenny Carson

By day, a mild mannered computer geek. By night, well, mild mannered guitar and bass player. Kenny has been fooling around with guitars for 30 or so years - mostly for his own entertainment. He never really had the "rock star dream" of playing in front of an audience but is certainly getting the opportunity to do just that on a very regular basis these days.

While guitar was the primary instrument for most of those years, he picked up the bass in 2002 to play first with FiveTen and then with The Transfusers. Now it's back to guitar with Firewatch. There are many and varied influences: from Led Zeppelin, Allman brothers and Creedence Clearwater Revival to Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Among the most influential bassists: Berry Oakley,  John Paul Jones, and Flea.

He still plays with the same energy and joy that he remembers from age 14 when everything was new and exciting. It's all about having fun making good music.
